Looks good, Troy. The slideshow speed seems fine to me and the pictures look great. You might want to have someone proofread the text, but otherwise it looks very nice. What did you use to make the slideshow?

troy,
slideshow: faster if possible. we photographers love images. people who view them have little time. Let them take time in your portfolio section if they want to take it.
The website is simple, but I think since we value imagery so much, we overvalue presentation whereas navigation and ease of use is more important in reality.
The most important thing is you have a website. So you are already ahead of the game. I hope for the best with your endeavours. If you don't mind, I might suggest a few other things:
1. I have a bright monitor and even find the gray background color a little dark.
2. Take your Troy Mosley Photography banner at top and do something with it to make it not look like such a block of text/image at the top of the page. My suggestion on this one: Use PS to blend/fade the edges of the jpeg/gif into the background color of the webpage.
Take those suggestions and throw them away if you wish, but I am just trying to help. In college, I took many web development courses and may be drawing upon those too heavily. Your images are very nice on an encouragement note.

thanks guys for you comments and tips.
i will take them to heart and see what i can do,
as far as setting up the slidshow it wasnt that hard, in the forums it tells you what code goes where, either in javascript box, or footer box, and then you just adjust with simple javascrip comands,
cutter, if i was proficent with photoshop enough i would definelty try to re do my banner, with a white background its really to bright, with a black backgroudn it way too dark, gray is the best it looks as of know, if i figure out how to blend it together i will definely do that for sure.
Thanks guys

Troy,
I really like the layout of your site. I am trying to get mine setup. I would like to know how you did the buttons up top. |
