I had the oportunity to visit B&H photo in Manhattan today. What a wonderful place. I played with a Mrk IIn and a 5d canon with 24-70 2.8 and 28-105 f/4 IS. I pleaded with them to take my spleen as payment, but aparently the black market for spleens is quite low now.
I was wondering...5d owners..Whats the quality of the following lenses on a 5d? The 50 1.8 II, 24 2.8, and the tamron 28-70 2.8. Any examples would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have the 5D and I thin all those lenses perform great on the 5D, they are all quality glass so there shouldn't be any problem.. I have the 50mm f1.4 and I just love it.. so bright on a fullframe viewfinder :)

There are lots of examples of these lenses right on the site here. If you're specifically wanting to see them on a 5D, that could be a little harder to find. But here are the lenses you asked about:
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Canon EF 24mm f/2.8
Tamron SP AF 28-75 f/2.8 XR Di for Canon
I have the first and the last and love 'em both. The Tammy 2.8 is my most used lens at wedding receptions. My next most used lens is the Canon 70-200L 2.8 IS lens. |
