Here is our latest addition. She was born just after 1am. I think we will be calling her Shiloh.

Whoa! Wait... wait... Lori. I think you missed something in post processing.
You have something extra special here. This is the famous "horse of a different color" of Wizard of Oz fame!

What a cutie!!! I love the last pic of her and momma touching noses. The one from the front is too cute, just look at the furrowed forehead, looks like she is frowning, great expression!!!
Congrats.

Here is an update of the brat (he really is, has an attitude that you wont believe, is as confident as you pleased and gets up to all sorts of mischief)!!
His age is on the name of the file. He will be a week old tomorrow.
We have three in Iowa so far, two to go there and two more to go here. I will post pics of the ones in Iowa as soon as I receive some.

I love your picture of him infront of his mama. He has a funny grin on his face. Looks very content. |

I don't have any at my barn this year but I did get a photo the other day at a barn I was visiting....
I'll share, of course!

We had a really dull day today so I took my 100mm 2.8 into the barn to try a few different available light shots at 1600 asa because the light was really bad inside. This was influenced by Cristy's shot in the previous post and it is not as subtle and moody as hers but I think has a cute factor.

Lori these are great. I have left a few comments.
Here are a few of the brat, he is 12 days old in these shots taken yesterday. I tried to use the barn doors as a dark background and think I pulled it off reasonably.

Lori... nice pictures.
I keep looking for a cute little filly around here to photograph myself, but those two legged varieties have proved elusive.

Lori, how the heck you get them to pose like that. Those are great shots!
Those are 10 times better than anything you ever submitted to DPC...
Oh, wait... I didn't mean to be rude... that would be a Rule 11 violation...
No problem... I will just delete that part of the message before I sen...
Oh, No!.... Dang!

Steve if you'd like you can come out to my place and we can do a photo shoot with them. I'm sure they'd be glad to help out with the posing :)
Nothing is ever planned with them.
There is a dressage show at Westworld on April 8th and 9th if you go there you might be able to find that cute two legged little filly to photograph:)

Thanks I'd like to do that. That would be fun. I got an idea, let's sucker Tina(tfaust) and Daryl(louddog) into inviting us all over for dinner after the shoot. :)
I got warn you, though, I plan on winning the DPC "horse" challenge with my pictures.
