San Diego DSLR Photography Group is having a private tour of Petco Park on the 11th of March. A lot less people than the Open to public tours that they are doing now. 8 bucks gets you in but Photos are for personal use only.

A few shots from the Petco Park Outting all taken with Tamron SP 17-35mm 2.4.

The SD DSLR Photography group is pretty cool group to hang out with...from beginner to pro, young to old and a bunch of equipment. No Nikon or Canon talk with them it's just Cameras and shooting. 31 people showed up at this almost 3 hour tour. Next month they a shooting Quail Botanical Gardens.

Speaking of next month... Heads up... If you are into planes Wings over Gillespie is a must not miss cause you can get up close and personally as you shoot from the flight line. April 21-23. They are having the flying wing this year and that should be interesting.

Civil war re-enactment at the Antique Gas and Steam engine museum up in Vista this weekend... This one is always a lot of fun... AGSEM All kinds of Photo Ops (sux if it rains as the place gets a little muddy)

Bunches of antique engines, tractors, cars etc... And when they have an event like this the people who show up are quite festive.

Also they have the best BBQ'd Tri-Tip sandwiches in the area.

Don't forget the Del Mar Racetrack until Sept. 6. Lots of beautiful creatures on the grounds...and I'm not just talking about the horses!

Hey, that's my sister...JK Brad... I don't have any sisters.

Last time I went to the beach here, I got shot by the girl I was shooting...she whooped out a peashooter and took my pic...I'm probably on a list somewhere now... :)

Escondido Ren Faire coming up on 14th, 15th and 21st, 22nd.

This one in Felicita Park is the better of the Ren Faires in San Dag (Felicita and Balboa Park). Way better surroundings for photos, just feels more realistic.

Anyone going?

San Diego DSLR Photography group monthly group shoot is this Saturday at the Embarcadaro. If you are up for hanging out with a bunch (we have anywhere from 15 to 30 something show up) dSLRies show up in front of the Star of India at 8:30AM.

We wander around for a couple of hours shooting everything that stands still then attack some fine eating establishment for lunch.

I hear they swapped out the Urban Trees along the waterfront and they always make for an interesting shoot.

San Diego to Tecate Mexico and Back via Train from Campo.

A handful (I think there is about 10 of us now) of the peeps from the SD dSLR photography group will be hopping the twilight train from Campo to Tecate Mexico and back on the 18th of August.

It's a pretty cool deal. Trains leaves SanDag (Campo) at 3:00PM and arrives in Tecate at 4:15PM. Wander around Tecate and take a bunch of photos and do some shopping until the Train leaves at 7:45PM. Back in Campo at 9:00PM

(Note: no tours of the brewery on the twilight run)

Ends up being about 47 bucks a person. 89 seats left at last check... //www.sdrm.org/events/tecate/

ED: I forgot the shopping part.
