Danderson: when you have the logo open, right click it and click "copy image location"; that will give you the correct image url.

It will look something like this:

[img]//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/30861/orig/310749.jpg[/img

except with the image tag properly closed at the end with a ]

There actually isn't any such rule in black-and-white, but there have been many threads of complaint in the time tha6t I have been here that "sharing" your images with others is contrary both to the spirit of anonymity and this rule:

"Ownership: The photograph you enter must be taken and post-processed by you. You may let someone else press the shutter if you are unable to, but you must be the one who set up the shot and configured the camera. If you wish to collaborate with others when creating your submission, you will need express permission from the administrators beforehand."

Arguably, working with others to improve your images is contrary to the spirit of this rule. Almost certainly, organized groups of 7 team members critiquing each others images pre-challenge would be frowned upon by the majority of the site. Add to this the likelihood of people perceiving that team members would vote their own team's images more leniently, and you have a real public relations problem.

And this isn't just directed at you, Deannda; it's been brought up a couple times earlier. I thought it would be a good idea to go on record with a reasoned pleas against this sort of collusion in our little team-challenge situation.

The definition of "collaborate" is the typical question, Deannda, and I think it would be very clear collaboration in the eyes of 95% of DPC if a team is consistently working on each other's shots and POSSIBLY voting that shot up to give their team a better chance. That's not accusatory at all, just a fact that we can't let ourselves be accused of it. There IS a loophole in the DPC system that has no programmed protection against this; we need to uphold our part of the user agreement even in the context of this "side" contest.

Very much like a game of golf with "side bets". We STILL have to completely conform to the "rules of golf" even though we also have "rules" for our little side game.

It's best if team members have NO idea of what the other members submit until after that voting period is over. Otherwise, we're wide open for accusations of TOS, which brings SC and Langdon into the mix, and he / they would be forced to act and most likely end our fun.

So, my concern in mentioning this originally was to protect the integrity of what we're doing here and still let us play :)

Ask Art for tips; he's the resident pro at that.

Oh I know, no problem. Like I said, we might not even get to play unless another team gets formed :(

Sorry about that I was up till 5:30 a.m. last night updating the site and had to get up at 7:00 am to get the kids ready for school. Had to go back to bed and sleep a little (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz).

Someone was requesting 12 teams?

There's at least one more partial team wanting a slot (Neuferland), and I bet there's enough interest to come up with yet another, which would make 12.

Im sure someone somewhere will throw a team together in the last day and that team will probebly walk away with the championship.

Im sure there was enough people asking to join that could make a team up ...

1 more team, 7 players. C'mon

Can we have twelve teams? I am sure there will be more people inetersted.

I requested initially for 12 teams. I am now part of "PixelStorm" team, but not sure if our team is in officially.

EDIT - Ah, ha! To those interested, the small XT logo is available as [thumb ]310846[/thumb ] without the spaces.

at the end of each bit it will help me loads to have the other team members say how i could get better photos.
I'm starting to be a bit worried now being the lowest scorer in the team and hopefully with all the help i could be getting scores in the mid 5's instead of the high 4's :)

I like PixelStorm for the name, not a problem there, the logo is nice, could we get a bit more color though? I'm a sunset freak :)

Hopefully we will get in

Ok. Something weird is going on. I've uploaded an image to my portfolio for the Team KM Logo. Everything seems fine. When I go back to look at or edit it via my portfolio, the image name is still there but it's not showing the thumbnail image. It's under my portfolio/Forum Post collection folder.

I've deleted it twice and uploaded a brand new version of the image. Even have gone so far as to pull up the layered version in PSP and remerge the layers/resize/save as jpg, etc...

Still getting weird behavior in the portfolio and the thumbnail image shows for awhile in my signature/profile page...then disappears!!!

I've sent a note to DPC Admin. Reason for posting here is I know danderson has been trying to use the team logo as have I.

After a challenge is voted, that would be appropriate, but not before or during.

I'm really not meaning to be the self-appointed enforcer here, so I'm sorry if I'm coming across like such :)
