Well, have had the 1Dn and 70-200 F/2.8 L IS USM hanging around my neck for the last couple of hours. Must be about 7-8lbs. The first hour was with the standard neck strap and the second with the OP/TECH USA Pro Strap. I know its not a full day out in the field but the cam does 'feel' more comfortable around my neck and possibly (just possibly) even a little lighter! You can even unclip the neck strap and join the strap to form a nice little handle :)
Looking at the strap the 'normal' strap is woven loosely onto the neoprene and this acts like a sort of shock absorber. Doesanybody have any long term thoughtrs on these straps?

Well on my humble 'cheapie' 300D I use this - it does make a difference and its cheap, just like my camera....

i got one and wore my rebel for 2 8 bour days on vacation last summer - fantastic strap.
i evne got one for my 30D...if only i could get the 30D now!

I originally bought one for a Nikon F5 about 3 years ago and have since used it on a D70 and now D200. It's been quite durable and it definitely eases neck strain. |
