Now there's an entirely seperate debate... I always do noise reduction at the START of the workflow rather than at the end ;-) |

I've always heard it was best to sharpen your shots at the end, so I assumed any noise reduction processing should be done at the end as well. Because technically, doesn't noise reduction take away data from the image? Anything that does that should be saved for last, so I've been told. Someone correct me if I'm wrong--it's been known to happen... |

I agree with the sharpening; however I work on the principle that I don't want noise reduction messing with any other work I've done on the image, so I'd rather get it out the way before doing other post-processing.
It's pretty much a personal preference thing I think! |

I have another question for fotolia users : the view numbers of a photo means that the photo was viewed or downloaded.
Where can I see the numbers of downloads for a specific photo.

I sure hope you have a layer in your tiff file that isn't softened.. otherwise if you over noise reduce you'll have to redit your photo.
I genearlly open the raw image and edit it and save it as a tiff with NO sharpening or noise reduction. Then I set photoshop to work by itself on an action, to open all the tiffs from a directory, sharpen them, noise reduce them and save them to a jpg, leaving the tiff as it was. That way, if i want the image to print, at a certain size, i can sharpen to that specific use.
