I'm not a big fan of the grunge here.. IMO, the origials are better. The grunge works for rock bands and EMO kids, but not really well with a sexy model shoot.

Not a fan of the first one (I think the original is better) but I do like the look of the second. Has a nice intensity to me and really highlights the model.

Yeah I dig it does take away from her natural beauty. I am just getting carried away.
EDIT: Thanks for looking.

Keep tinkering Wazz, I know you are excited about your first model shoot and want to experiment. Just don't let "creativity" ruin good shots.
Never hurts to experiment though, well, as long as your originals are protected.

The originals are definitely better, I think you may have gone a little overboard with the processing on these two. |

Oh yeah! First thing I do is burn the raw files to DVD.
Yeah I am pretty much just goofing around.
Thanks kiwiness! I guess you have to go to far to know where to far is! |

I would def. tone down the neat image on the skin. Looks very, very fake in these photos. I just looked at it and said...yep neat image. You never want that!!! Keep it more natural looking, just cloning out the major flaws and keep your skin blurring to around 1.5 or 2 at the most. Try using the opacity slider to bring it down a few notches and I'm sure you will see that the result is much more professional looking. Great comp on these photos, though and lighting looks nice. Keep it up! |

Yeah like I said I was just goofing around and I was going for the OVER PROCESSED Grunge thing. Take a look at the ORIGINALS and tell me what you think.

MUCH MUCH BETTER! Sorry, somehow I missed the original photo thread. The skin here looks excellent. One little thing...have you thought about maybe using a fill flash so that the light is more on the model and not the background? Just a thought! Looks good, though. |

Oh yeah I took 350 Images on this shoot and I tried everything fill flash (using a remote flash on tripod) reflectors and used all my lenses. It was a blast! I can't wait to try some more. I learned so much!
Thanks for taking a look!
Best Regards

I don't like the first one here but I think the second one works well. Could even fade the dodge and burn just a tad, but it really makes the model pop. |

I hope you don't mind, but I played around with this one a little in PS just to give you an example of what I mean. I kept with the grungy feel of the first two, toned down a bit and made the model POP a little more. I hope you like it.

Yeah thanks, but the Image that you used of course was not processed it was straight out of the camera. As was the case with all but the 2 post processed images. The first 2 in this post were done like that for a reason. Cuz I wanted to. This was my first model shoot but I have been using photoshop since Ver.3. Thanks though. |
