| If CS2 is fast enough for you, use it, if not go to one of the earlier versions and try it for speed. CS2 has a few more bells and whistles |

| Probably version 4 or 7 will work better on that machine. Version 4 is definitely more primitive than 7, so if the latter works without crashing, I'd use that. I use version 5 myself, on a machine with a similar configuration to your's, and have no problems. Version 9 is likely to require too much memory to run really well. |

My guess is going to be PS 7 would run the best.

Thanks all. I'll put in v7 and see how it goes.
Hope it doesn't crash or anything. If it does, I guess I'm stuck with v4 :S |

We used to run PS7 on machines at the school district I worked for that had lower specs than that one, so you should be ok.

I run 7.0 on a 1.2 Ghz machine. When I started I had 512 Mb RAM and it worked fine. I've since upped it to 1 Gb of RAM and it's faster, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. You should be fine. CS2 is a resource hog, you need more power and RAM than that to run it efficiently I think.
