...today. Nothing special, just felt like going out and clicking. Saw a red-tail hawk but it landed on a building top antenna, way too far away even for my 400mm L-glass. Shot these around downtown Madison.

wow...so thats what it looks like out there in madison today. Perhaps I should get off my lazy duff and check it out. Nice view of the terrace by the way. But with the location, i am amazed you didn't include any shots of the capital. |

Actually, there's a law in Madison that says "photographers downtown MUST shoot the capitol" so...
Here is an old favorite of Madison's Capitol:
And of course, one of my all time favorites:
Michael, are you a Madisonian?? |

Tried out my 17-40L today for the first time......LOVE IT!!! Without a doubt the best lens I have ever used. I got some pics of the Rhode Island State House today too, which I will post later on so we can compare State Houses! ;)
Or with the natural sky:
edit: My State House pic from today (still need to do something with the sky)

Wow those are fantastic. I am a madisonian! In fact I can see the capitol from inside my house. Lots of fun. If I had a dslr with a decent lens I could probably take pictures from where I am sitting. |
