anyone here owns or has experience with slave flashes?
Are they good? Do they really work? I mean, they rely on the primary flash to trigger, so wouldn't there be a delay if the shutter speed of the camera is high? Thanks

Love my Slaves
Haven't had any sync issues with them.

Been using slave flashes since "days o'film". Actually, the slave relay is as fast as a sync cord. There is no discernable delay. Speed of light and all. Let not your heart be troubled.

Thanks guys.
Coz I've never used slaves before, only those that you mount on the camera flash mounts. Might be looking at them as fill-in flash |

they're good, no delay, not even at 1/1000 of a second. |

Optically-triggered slaves were actually first developed because they were more consistent in simultaneous-firing than multiple links to long synch cables. They've been around a long time. It's proven tehnology.
