Hey guys,

I've been asked by a friend to help her find a skit. It's a skit she's seen done before, but she's looking for the actual script.

Basically it demonstrates the difficulties in translation v. interpretation... It uses English idioms and figurative statements like "it's raining cats and dogs" to show the difficulty... Evidently it consists of two people... One being the speaker and the other being the translator...

Has anyone seen this done before? Or know where i might find the script? I've been searching the web for quite some time now... I'm hoping someone can help...

Thanks!

I tried to search as well and didn't come up with anything that I thought was what you were looking for - the closest I came was googling for "+skit translation interpretation"

Where was it done? TV? Radio? Local theater? Try to remember who the performers were ...

It sounds like something The Two Ronnies would have done (Ronnie Corbett and Ronnie Barker, from their TV show in the 70s.)
