Is this possible?

any help would be appreciated.

Compatible lenses

Here is a list from the Sigma website of compatible lenses... the 28-70 2.8 is not on the list.

Supposedly TCs are for 100mm plus lenses.
I tried my 2 tamron converters on my 18-50 2.8 and the 2.0TC worked, teh 1.4TC did not (err99 and it was hard to put on and off physically - odd i thought).
