Any clue why? It is the one I had sent in after the recall. My other two Lexar cards (both 40x) do not give me any xmp files, to my knowledge at least!

the .xmp file is something developed by Adobe for embedding metadata (info about your photos) into the photo itself. it has nothing to do with the card as far as i know...
