I have a question for the locals, what is a good place to get sunset pics around here? I'm thinking along the lines of a beach or something like that. Thanks in advance. Man it's boring here!

Hey there! Feel free to PM me anytime you have questions about this area.
Anywhere on Hutchinson Island where you can see across the lagoon is good. I saw a spectacular sunset on Ft. Pierce Beach, down by the Jetties, overlooking the inlet. That's also a good place for shooting kite surfers and really tame seabirds.
Some of these are really bad examples; but here are some blurry shots that I took from various spots on Hutchinson Island, Sebastian and from the boat on the lagoon.
Hutchinson Island
Indian River Lagoon in Sebastian
And one right down the road from me, at The Sebastian River Boat Ramp
Sunrises are better because the water is usually calm. See my portfolio for those.
If you PM me I'll give you my phone number or email and we can discuss more locations. There are some very scenic places, if you know where to look.
Cheers,
Roxanne

Note that she asked for a "good" place to get sunsets.
I'm assuming her idea of a good sunset doesn't include endless expanses of ugly tract housing or tall trees that block the horizon; which is what you usually see when looking west around here. |

Atlantic coast doesn't have Sunsets on the ocean, maybe you can go at Indian River Lagoon or some other lake.
For Sunsets you have to go on Mexican Golf coast,Treasure island or Clearwater Beach and south... |

June | Bored in Florida in March? Look into baseball, spring training is in full swing. Wish I could be there to be bored.

The "lagoon" of which I speak is The Indian River Lagoon. Almost all of the shots I posted were taken across the IRL. They might not be great, but they are "sunsets".
Here's another that was beautiful but suffered from my lack of photographic skill.
