Hey Cool Cats!

Hope y'all are having a good evening. I have a quickie questions for pbase users.

My account is about to expire & I wanna move my pix over to me sis's website. Is there any way to batch dload the pix in my galleries onto my drive?

I would basically like to save all the pix on my pbase account to my drive so I can transfer them.

I lost all my images on their in an external drive mishap. Would prefer not to save ach of themone at a time. Lots of pix & would take a HUGE amount of time.

Thanks in advance
peace

You could try a "Mass Picture Downloader" it may work depending on there setup. Should easly be found on google and most are freeware.

I tried to connect to my pBase folder using an FTP program, but it didn't work. See if they can give you settings which will ...

Otherwise, I think I'd contact the site admins over there and see if they can make you a backup CD, or else you may have to right-click and save each photo individually.

You might consider also uploading your images to one of the printing galleries (Kodak, Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc.) since they'll provide virtually ulimited storage of print-size files (I only put little ones up at pBase). Kodak (when they were still Ofoto) would burn a backup CD for about $20.

This is only true at Snapfish (and I THINK Kodak as well) if you actually place an order every 90 days or something like that. Maybe longer, but there is a time limit, is the point I'm getting at :)

Just a warning. It "ain't" totally free.

True, though so far I've found them pretty tolerant in their enforcement of these policies.

Ordering a couple of prints every few months may not be such a bad thing either -- you can always send a link to the gallery to a relative : )

can you or anyone else suggest a freeware program? All I could find were shareware.

They (pBase) probably (hopefully) have safeguards in place to prevent people from mass-downloading photos from the site.

I really suggest you contact them for a solution ... assigning you temporary limited FTP privileges would probably be the simplest way.

Here's some Pic Grabber software from Broderbund. It claims you can grab a whole gallery at once. I don't know what they say about copyright violation ....
