Had to share this deal with anybody looking for a nice LCD. Go here for the details. The coupon on Ebay really worked to save $35, otherwise it's still a good deal on the Dell site for $396, regular $530.
I've heard other people here talk about how much they like theirs, and finally decided to get one and found this deal. Yay! |

I can vouch for the screen itself. I absolutely love it. Pretty much everything on the PC is more enjoyable at 1680 x 1050, but maybe especially Photoshop. So much more room for palettes that don't infringe on the image space. Using it in portrait aspect rocks as well.
Something I did not really anticipate using so much was switrching the LCD into portrait mode - you can tie a keyboard sequence to this (Ctrl-Alt-A, whatever) and then reach out and turn the LCD to portrait mode (it's on a swivel). Very cool.

Thanks for posting that photo Rich, that looks really cool. I'm really excited, my old 17 inch CRT is 7 years old now and time for an upgrade. It won't ship until the 15th, but it should be worth the wait.
Also, I forgot to point out in my first post that the shipping is free, but I got hit with the sales tax so that took it up a little bit (tax might not be applicable for your state). -Still just under $400 which is a great deal. |

| It's a great buy, got one for Christmas and have it as a dual monitor next to my 19" Dell LCD. That is a great setup. |

How do you set up the keyboard sequence? |

That part is actually tied to my video card, which is nothing that special - an NVidea GEForce FX 5200. I would think most medium grade cards have that kind of ability.
