My 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-S. The speed, sharpness, bokeh make it my fav!

I have to pick a favorite??? Not possible! Well, OK, if pressed, I would have to say that the 70-200/2.8L IS is the one. That said, I feel like I've just slighted the 24-70/2.8L and the Canon 15mm fish, and the 100/2.8 macro USM, and... well, you get the picture :-)

Actually it is not too expensive for the quality it produces, you have to get it. The 1.4 is much more expensive but the quality difference is minimal. |

Kirbic, how about you loan me those four lenses for a few months (OK, maybe a year) and I'll do a thorough evaluation and let you know which one I prefer. |

I just got my 12-24 so the 85 is going to have to wait for a few months but oh yes it will be mine! |

Tough question - changes with my moods. No one will ever fault the EF 70-200mm L f/2.8 IS, I love that lens! However, I have been having a LOT of fun lately playing with available light and the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. Who knows, I may hit the beach soon and think the 17-40mm is "the BOMB!" Then again, I may go back into my Macro-phase with the 100mm..hmm.....

 Like I said, tough question.

You obviously have too many lenses. I think you should send some to me. :-)

		Sigma 30mm f/1.4
Good FOV, mine is very sharp right away from f/1.4, good contrast, good color, fast and accurate AF, good in the hand. Not too small not too big.

This is my second favourite lens, although the earlier model of this was shitty! The new model is way better. My third choice is the Nikkor 12-24, also awesome! |

While I love all of my lenses for different reasons, I love my little cheap Nikon 50mm 1.8. It's sharp and gives beautiful results.

Other lenses I love are my new Sigma 70-200 2.8 which is one of the sharpest lenses I have. I also love what my Sigma 10-20mm can do. Oh, then there's the Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro...

 I can't stop can I?

OK, the 50mm 1.8 wins with the blue ribbon!

Hmmm, I like the smooth creamy baby bottom bokeh and contrast of the 1.4 a lot more. The 1.4 seems to give images a little extra pop. It should for triple (or something) the price.
