Just wanting to gauge some opinions on something I find unusual (not to mention a tad unsettling) in regards to some comments I have received as well as my photography-buddy, GIS_boy. They have been received by a particular registered user who has only ever made 3 comments - and (coincidentally....or not) have been made on one of my images and two of GIS_boys. Only one vote cast, which was a ten apparently (going by the comment on my image) and, perhaps the most disconcerting is the comment that was left on GIS_boy's photo which used my sister as the model which was "Hot body must be a yummy mummy", which was the below submission to Painting with Light II:

Does anyone have any advice on the best way of handling this? Or am I just being paranoid.......

I'd ignore it the way I'd ignore the noise of a dirt bike or a chopper after climbing a mountain. There are so many of them, and my argument cannot find an ear either.

he is not a stalker.

a photo like that would surely evoke sexual feelings in certain individuals, whether you like it or not. And I dont find his comment vulgar or nasty. More like expressing what he felt when he saw the photo?

is this a duplicate thread type thingy?

The butler did it... Butt-ler ;-) ohhh, nevermind...

The other thread was locked, as it had pretty much become an off-topic meander.
To the OP: The SC has opened a discussion on this. The information we have indicates that the Cushla account may be owned by someone logging in from the same computer(s) that you use. I'd check that out. Please open a ticket if you wish to exchange information about this without hashing it out in the public forums.

If the comment offends you so much just report the post and be done with it. No need to start 2 threads to see if anyone else is offended.
...my 2 cents...
Edit: Ack Kirbic beat me to it.

Manic - SC already said that the commenter was from your own IP address. So why not just ask hubby if he has a second account and then thank him for the compliment?

I don't know why there are two threads on this, but let me answer. I have no problems with it.

1. According to SC the actual comment came from your own computer. I would suggest maybe taking that into consideration and making your first investigation begin where the cops would begin - in the home.
2. Maybe if you are afraid of posting nude photos, as the photo has since been admittedly of yourself and NOT your sister, then don't pose nude. This may avoid lewd comments in the future.

Just my two-dah-lahs

Rose

EDITED TO ADD: My comments were written at the same time as council. Take their advice.

I suggest people look at the time this thread was started and realize that this thread was posted FIRST.

I mention it because certain people are repeating themselves as though she opened a second thread to get more information...

Just out of curiousity, if it hasn't already been checked, are there any other accounts with that same IP (other than the 3 already mentioned)?

I don't know how that is possible. The question asked by the OP has been beat to death in the other thread, along with various other side tracks. Not much to discuss anymore that is in line with the original post. I say lock this one also until the clock rolls around a bit more in the OP's location.

A possibility:

Are you using a wireless network or internet router in your home?
Have you secured and encrypted it? If not, there is a possibility that someone nearby can use your connection and possibly (depending on your setup) get access to your computer(s).
