The two accounts from the same household doesn't bother me...
the comments and votes left by the parties does. however
Like someone else pointed out, there are comments left as if they don't know who's entry it is and leaving a huge score. Some comments are left in humor... they don't come off as funny baring the circumstance and point of this website |

If you create multiple pofiles, you could essentially bill them for each profile:-) |
So I could bill for the dog wasting her day too? Nice! |
Only if the dog was a member instead of a registered user, or if the dog wore pink ruffled panties (stole from brizmama) |

Originally posted by manic35: Ok - I've received a disconcerting comment during a challenge and would like to gauge opinions. Its actually a portrait using my sister and it was done by GIS_boy (my photography partner & husband). I am quite concerned about the nature of this comment and would like to know whether I am just being paranoid, whether this sort of conduct is common and what are my options? I will not allude to which comment it is, but I will just post the photo here for people to make up their own minds.

Good try glad2badad! You made an effort to redirect, but... |
The opening of this thread is quite obvious, which is that manic thinks comments on her sister (which is really her) and which was taken by her husband, Gis-Boy, were quite lewd and complained about it. Unfortunately, she ended up complaining about herself or her own household, where it just so happens the comments came from. Therefore, leading to the now involked discussion of multiple accounts and votes and comments coming from those accounts and the same households. I am sorry if that left you off track of the original reason for this thread, in which the OP has actually decided to leave in the hands of others to BE redirected.
If its any consolation to you, I don't believe I have ever started a thread that has remained "on track". For me, its the norm.

IMHO, this is ridiculous. So what you are saying is that I shouldn't be allowed to check on my score from multiple computers? That's insane, I check my score from work, home and I've even checked while on the road for business on my mobile phone.
Nevermind the administration overhead that this would cause. |
If you have an account, then you have your own username and password. If you give that out, that is your headache, but that is what you check your account and update button with. So naturally you can check your score from other computers once you sign in. That isn't the issue. The issue I have raised is having multiple memberships. So, unless you have a membership from your work IP, and from your school IP, and from your library IP, etc, then what you are talking about isn't the same issue.

Rose, do us all a favor, don't try and talk about something that you have NO IDEA what you're talking about.

There was a case, somewhere in America, where a guy was living in someone else's attic for months. When they went to work, he would come down, eat their food and watch the TV.
Maybe cushla is the Australian version of this guy. |

Has anyone heard from manic or did we scare her away for good? |

Man...that just gives me the willies! I'm checking the attic when I get home today. (mind you, the entrance is in the ceiling of MY bedroom!)

Given the circumstances, you could very well be right. Or maybe it was Gis-boy or even the jealous sister? LOL...who knows? Not me, and I venture to say, NO ONE DOES. LOL....
Again, I have been extremely educated by this thread today, and to those that agree this practice is scary, or not very legitimate, my hats off to you holding your integrity in tact. I myself will continue on for the duration of my membership with only that ONE membership and will be changing how I view this site and its entries from here on end.
And with that, I think enough has been said as far as I am concerned, some will be happy to note. You may go on with your humor and without interruption from me. :)

Hey...I'm really starting to get scared. What if Cushla was really hiding in the attic? And what if Manic discovered him and Cushla out of panic cut her to pieces and ran away with her head under his arm? He may be heading over to Japan as we speak...

John (p2jvr) and I have often posted in threads accidently as each other and we always admit it! We also both pay our membership fee and also usually but not always go out together to take pics. The reason we took up this hobby and joined the site was to have a leisure activity we could enjoy together. After 32 years of marriage, our telepathy is unbelievable and we are often to be found marching towards exactly the same place for exactly the same shot, from different directions and after no conversation! We then see whose pic has worked out best and allow that one to be entered while the "loser" goes hunting for another shot to enter. Why should this be any sort of problem in challenges or anywhere on the site?
Also my son is Legalbeagle and my daughter is Cody28 and we often discuss the site and photography trips we have been on. Since we live 250 miles away from each other we use different IP addresses but if we wanted to "cheat" in some way we could easily do so. Where you vote from is not an issue; if you have the personality that wants to cheat then you will do so, if not you won't!
BTW thought the original "mystery" was much more interesting
"Play "Misty" for Me" lives again!
I think I'm on the side of multiple personality disorder - there is actually only one person involved from the very beginning!!! But is it a he or a she??? Perhaps we have a gender disorder too????
Only joking, Manic if there is a sensible answer!!
:)))

Ooops, I was wrong. He didn't live in the attic for months, only 6 weeks.
Fugitive Lives in Attic
"A man thrown out by his roommate returned to the home and hid in an attic crawl space for nearly six weeks, spying on the roommate through a telephone tap and hidden baby monitors, police said.
The secret surveillance was discovered Saturday when someone investigating strange noises pushed a screwdriver into a hole in the ceiling, and the screwdriver was pushed back, police Sgt. Andy Dewese said.
After he was discovered, Robin E. Lewis fled in a stolen vehicle, then returned Sunday and left his ex-roommate a note reading, "I will always be watching you," police said." |
