Okay Rose but could you please be the one to tell my wife to delete her account, I am sure I wouldn't live very long if I told her too. |
Off topic (sorry) - Does your wife hold the record for the most Honorable Mentions without having a ribbon? Talk about living on the edge. ;^)

I don't own the site. If I did, I would be happy to. But on a more serious note, how about answering me this. To those that have multiple usernames from one IP, do you all at least pay the $25.00 each to be part of the site? OR are you paying one fee of $25.00 for all of you.

If both are members, then both pay the $25.00. If only one is a member and the other a registered user, then it's only $25.00. My youngest daughter and I both use the same IP, I am a member, she's just registered. |

Every individual user has to pay $25. We don't offer group discounts. There is one exception, and that is a class of mentally disabled people who use photogrphy as a way of helping them connect. They have asked for, and been granted permission to participate in the challenges as a group.
It would be rediculous to restrict IPs to only one account...those of us who use AOL would be screwed since there's like 1 IP for a billion people. (exaggerated number, but you get the point) |

Hey there's a thought.... maybe you should think about starting your own site. You seem to have alot of opinions on how they should be run. Clearly, this place is far beneath your high security standards. :)

At least, why not block users from the same IP :p to vote or comment on eachother's images?
NM.. I guess it wouldn't work for AOL users :(

I think you mean IP not ISP if you did the ISP you could prevent 100's of users from participating. But the same IP what are we talking 3 maybe 4 votes? Its not worth the hassel.

Then how do you know when an AOL member is also a member of the same household in order for them to pay their $25.00?
I know AOL is hell for those who own sites. There are about 2000 different IP's given to each user WHICH change daily. I know because I called AOL on it at one time when I owned my own sites. AOL calls it "protection". Unfortunately, it only protects the AOL user and not the sites in which they sign on. However, if you can't tell who is who, then how do you know who is paying and who isn't from the same household? Are you going by usernames alone?
I mean, I know you can't bar all cheaters and some will take advantage, but this is like open house. When fees are involved, it can get tricky. Some will say the same happens at other sites. Well that may be true, but when other sites are free, where does one really have the argument? When one pays, there is argument, and I am just trying to see where the line begins and ends here, or is this just like any other site except a fee is involved?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to bill DPC for this thread. It has taken too much of my productive day.

If you create multiple pofiles, you could essentially bill them for each profile:-) |

I think the original topic has lost all credibility - as soon as it was pointed out that cushla has the same IP as her she disappeared and has not posted on this thread since. I'd like an explanation - even if it is just a joke that kinda backfired I want to know, because it can actually be rather scary. If someone was posting dodgy comments on nude pictures, or on one person's pictures, it is scary for the person involved, if this is a joke it's not very funny.

IMHO, this is ridiculous. So what you are saying is that I shouldn't be allowed to check on my score from multiple computers? That's insane, I check my score from work, home and I've even checked while on the road for business on my mobile phone.
Nevermind the administration overhead that this would cause.

Good try glad2badad! You made an effort to redirect, but... |
The opening of this thread is quite obvious, which is that manic thinks comments on her sister (which is really her) and which was taken by her husband, Gis-Boy, were quite lewd and complained about it. Unfortunately, she ended up complaining about herself or her own household, where it just so happens the comments came from. Therefore, leading to the now involked discussion of multiple accounts and votes and comments coming from those accounts and the same households. I am sorry if that left you off track of the original reason for this thread, in which the OP has actually decided to leave in the hands of others to BE redirected.
If its any consolation to you, I don't believe I have ever started a thread that has remained "on track". For me, its the norm.
