Wonder how long it will be before this is moved to the "rant" section?

Before it goes to rant... I want to go on record to say that my post was merely given as a backhanded appreciation for Idnic's humor. :) (leaving this thread now before it gets pushed downhill)

Could be worse. Were it Cheney and his shotgun, Colorado might be a bit too close.

I got to sit in his seat on Marine One last year...
(He wasn't there)

That was a pretty cool life experience.

I never saw Bush Jr. However I've seen Clinton more times than I care and Bush Sr. once. I never talked with any of them, but I had some good conversations with their secret service on occasion.

Colorado is Great!

And I would hardly call Bush a war criminal...

I don't see how anyone could call him a war criminal.

Time to move this off to a rant

This is pretty funny. I know this will end up in rant. I don't like him too much, but I would love the chance to meet any American President. Well take his picture at least.

Edit: it is in rant now!

Hehe I'd be thrilled to not be there. A bit like our new Prime Minister in Canada Stephen Harper. I don't even acknowledge him as the leader of our country. I think they both should go hunting with Dick Loose Cannon Cheney.

I won't even spell check these guys' names. lol.

It was a dark and stormy night...

Actually, while the President was campaigning, he flew up to McGuire Air Force base in NJ. The Marine One Squadron (HMX-1) had three helo's there...two 'frogs' and the one that El Presidente flys in (Sea King). The two Frogs where on the tarmac, but the Sea King was kept in one of the hangars...roped off and surrounded by 4 - 6 heavily armed and very serious Marines.

My brother-in-law is a pilot for the HMX-1. He flys the President and lands on the White House lawn. He goes to Crawford and has 'hung out' at the ranch. He spent Christmas with the President and the First Lady, etc, etc.

He was able to get our family to get an insiders tour of Marine One. It was serious business too. We had my daughter, who was 3 at the time, and her two cousins, 3.5 and 5.5, who were being silly and loud...and the armed Marine guards were not even CLOSE to being amused. I'm not easily intimidated, but I was in that situation.

One of the Marines gave us the tour and the historical background on the machine. He wasn't allowed to tell us which seat the President sits in, for security sake, but it was obvious. The cushy seat with the Presidential seal with a red telephone next to it was a safe guess. I sat there for 15 or 20 minutes soaking in the history...of all the Presidents and international dignitaries...and me. :-)

I have rambled too long...I'll see if I have some pictures floating around.

I'd be thrilled not to be there as well....

Bush is a knucklehead....
Now President Cheney?
He's da man.

Jacko....I agree...slimy, greedy punks that aren't even worth a spell check.
