Is this the right direction?
Original:

Hmm, to explain it:
USM like i mentioned previously.
hue/sat at -56, multiply blend mode @ 88% fill
hue/sat at -44 (100% and normal)
fill layer, 138/138/138 (grey), color blend mode @ 74% fill, and then used a mask to get just the face
flatten or = to get everything together at once, dupe it, did a hi pass overlay blend and reduced fill to 48% and then dragged the dup layer to the top and did a fill @ 48%
resize for web and USM at 50/.9/0

Can someone help me find this? I have been searcing with little luck.

Thanks In Advance!!!

instead of the burn and dodge tools I always use this technique:
dupllicate the layer
create a layer mask and invert it
set blend mode to multiply (burn) or screen (dodge)
now do all modifications on this layer painting in the layer mask -- if you go to far you can always lower the opacity of the layer to lessen effects.
