Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS

I'm allegedly going to be on a show this weekend on the Home & Garden TV Network (HGTV)... set those VCRs and get your tomatoes ready for throwing! :)

The show is called "Reel Homes: Real Funny" (there are a couple other versions airing that same night, including "Real Scary" -- I'm only on the "funny" edition). They showcase various homes that were featured in movies, in this case, comedies. Since I'm from Punxsutawney where the movie is set, they had contacted me last summer with questions about where various parts of Groundhog Day were filmed, and I was able to provide them with information and pictures they wanted.

Eventually they asked me if I'd travel to Woodstock, Illinois, where the movie was shot, to be part of the show. I headed out there and spent a day filming various pieces for the show.

Soooo... assuming I didn't hit the cutting room floor, I *should* be part of the Groundhog Day segment... and some of my photos from the filming may also be included as well.

It's scheduled to air at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, here in the Eastern Time Zone... check local listings. I'm quite curious to see just how much of a fool I made of myself...

Hah! I will have to watch if I'm home on Sunday evening, or at least set the VCR.

I just watched GH day again the other day while on the treadmill--very good movie. I remembered your pics of you and Bill Murray, and I was looking to see if you were an extra in the movie, but didn't catch or recognize you if you were.

I'll set the DVR for Sunday. Always good to know a "star"!

Tivo says 8PM in our areas alan...but jsut to be on teh safge side i'll record all three hours of the shows - just for you LOL

I can burn it to DVD if you want a copy for posterity - just PM me.
Maybe I will...and put copies in caches everywhere! ;)

That's pretty weird... it's listed as 7:00 on TV Guide as well as HGTV's web site... not to mention that HGTV called me and said it would be at 7:00. So hopefully that'll hold true.

I've got the DVD recorder and numerous VCRs set (and HGTV said they'll send me a DVD after it airs), so I should be good to go :)

I spent half a week in Woodstock, IL, while they were filming (I was there when they were filming the scene where Bill Murray gets piano lessons, and when Bill Murray catches the kid falling out of a tree). My brother had spent the whole week out there, and got to be an extra. He's in a couple scenes, but you really have to know where to look!

I love HGTV and watch it all the time, but haven't watched this show yet. I'll be watching on Sunday. How fun!
