I had a photo published in a Russian golf magazine ("Golf Style"), and I just received a copy of it today. I'm purely curious to know what the caption says, since I have no clue abou what context the shot is being used! If anyone is able to translate, I'd be interested in knowing what it says here:

My receptionist is from russia and she read it and told me its describing the ground hog day tradition and how its a fun holiday for americans. They also named Phil in the article.

I figure its part of a calendar, by the looks of things. Thanks for having her take a look. :)

tried copying and pasting some cyrillic letters in here to explain what they were...but it just turned to gibberish in preview. Ah well.

The russian alphabet isn't that hard to read once you know the letters...here is a link.
russian
Some words such as "photo" you can sound out and be correct, though others will mean completely different things.
"magazine" sounded out in russian actually means "store". But Photo and Phil [sounds like feel] are pretty easy to spot.

i can read the letters, i just have the vocabulary of a 1 year old.

I can read it! I can read it! But I can't understand it.

That's new months in my lessons.

It goes like that but I'm too lazy to continue. I can though if you like.

This is just a rough guess, it's been 15+ years since I took Russian.
