I'm considering buying a macro lense. The Nikon 105mm f/2.8 like some of you use would well fit my needs. Now I just saw on the Nikon web site that they have a new G model with VR. I did not find any review about it. It's also 20% cheaper than the one without VR, that seems peculiar
Can VR be effective for macros, as it will probably correct movements only in the 2 dimensions of the sensor and not in the 3rd along the focal length?
