I would think its obvious enough as the most important areas of the image are lighted more and the less important areas are lighted less - its not random.

Well, I guess you're suffering at the hands of the more pedantic voter then, who's looking for a literal representation of "painting with light"?

I thought my picture was pretty good, and it's hovering around the mid 5.5's at the moment. :-(

Ha! I'd be pleased with a 5.5 right now. This is a travesty!! 4.6308

If you do not have a bunch of squiggles, an overt outline, or a paintbrush in your shot - then your non-stationary light source is 'not apparent'. Oh ye of narrow interpretation. What a drag.

My image really looks like a computer screen shot, but it's not.
Should I have mentioned this in the title?

How are explanations in the title received by the group?

Thanks

dang, I did it once! :) Laine loves it and asks to see the banana, so it will now be my official icon just like your blue smiley with the cheese-eating grin.

Holy Frito and the Corn Chips, I'm at 5.0 for the first time ever! I may want to send this to PDF before it drops to 3.5 or something.

Well, just got hit with one of the necessary 1-scores. It never feels good. Have dropped .13 in the last 13 votes.
