from Death Valley. I was waiting for the challenge to get over to avoid guesses :)
Comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated

wow, amazing shots!!! That's an area of the country that I haven't had the chance to visit yet, though I'd LOVE to do so, particularly because of these kinds of images. Just lovely!

thanks Elizabeth.. Its a great place and I might go there again, but this time with more photographer friends than hikers and would spend most of the time taking photos :)

Your amazing images make me want to visit Death Valley despite it's name. I've only been to the one in Clemson, South Carolina. (not too pretty.)

Excellent photographs, Gaurawa. The challenge photo by far, is the best of this bunch, and the all of the other challenge entries, IMO. Left some comments.

Sweet! I'm planning a roadtrip this summer with a couple friends down to that area - Death Valley, Yosemite, Vegas, Great Salt Lakes, Salt Flats, etc.

I just need to convince my mom to get me a Rebel XT...

Thanks for your comments. It was a great weekend, I would have definitely enjoyed spending more time taking shots, but not all friends I went with were that interested in photography and we had hikes planned. Next time I am going there for just a photo-trip :)

Make sure you carry enough batteries. they run out fast and if you are camping there is no charging at night, the restrooms there don't even have lights.

Wow, fantastic shots! They are all so beautiful. I especially love "Badwater".

How's "Moving Rocks" happen?

That's just bizarre! I don't think I've ever heard of them. Very cool, though. Love your shots.

What I find interesting is no one moves the rocks. Or do they? What I mean is they seem to leave them where they've been moved to, and not pick them up and cart them off.

I don't think you would want anyone to move them around. They are mysterious and should be left there for everyone to take a look at.
