This is my first experience photographing bands. How did I do?

I think you did rather well....like the effectes of the lines.....that gives it its own style....

Hi
These are great, looks like you have a real vibrant band and some good lighting.

My effort below is very stark in contrast.
I had no lighting what so ever and was ask to cover this about 30 mins before the band went on stage!!!

Seems a bit mean to steal the first person's thread.
I like your composition, relatively imaginative for gig photos. The one of the drummer is effective, especially the fact that the focus is on the cymbal. They're a bit oversaturated and red for my taste though.
Also, it's bad form to post large photos in the forums here.
The third photo is interesting, but I'm missing the guitarist's face.

sorry never was looking at thread stealing just saying his shot are better than mine and they were posted as a comparison(sp?)

in no way thread stealing. Thanks for posting! I didnt have any light either, just the colored lights in the back. It was a night concet, so I used a fill flash and a long shuttter speed(1sec)

sorry for the big pics, my DPC expired, and I dont use it enough to pay for it.
