I might have won a photo contest by CANON!

I am really excited about my first photo contest ever. Canon and a local school of photography held a contest with the subject 'Nature'. I submitted a couple of my photos. The results were supposed to be made available today and I received a mail from them with this invitation:

The image on the invitation is a crop from the photo that I originally sent:

I also sent this other image (there was a maximum of 3 photos per photographer, I only used 2)

What are your guesses? did I win?? should I expect the new Canon 30D? (haha not really, the prize was a Digital Rebel... I would have to sell 2 Digital Rebels now!).

OMG... I am excited and thankful to DPC, before DPC I would have never even looked for photo contests, how will I be able too sleep for the rest of the week? :S

haha no, Im planning to sell the new Rebel because I want my new 30D... hopefully one step closer! :)

I thought most exhibits mail out invitations? I just delivered some images to an exhibit tonight and while they don't mail out the invitations, they did give me a stack for me to mail out. It's cool that they used your image for the invite, though! Congrats.

im not sure that using an image means any kind of placement, places will use honorable mentions or even non placing quality entries often in the printing for the fliers. In submitting the images im sure u give them rights to it to use for promotional materials. Having said that I hope you did well nonetheless, would like to hear what happened.
