Hey everybody,

I was wondering if somebody out there knows of any good places/websites where i could possibly buy a used dlsr or some equipment. Im aware of ebay, but is there anything else that maybe focuses on cameras? Has anybody gone through ebay, and had a positive experience?

both KEH and B&H have used equipment that you can trust. I have purchased mostly new from B&H, and have purchased only used from KEH. I have never been dissapointed with either. Check out the used department of their sites.

FredMiranda.com has a great Buy/Sell Forum... I shop and sell there quite a bit... All with great success (and savings!) =]

assuming sellers do not reset their shutter count, take note of it, especially on dSLR where mechanical failures of the flip mirror/prism is most often the source of failure I've heard about from a local photography forum.

Just the other night I heard at camera club that the "Shutter Cycle" of the 300D is 30,000 cycles and that someone had their whole mechanism fall apart at 30,100. The impression I got was that the camera was a throw-away at that point. Did I hear correctly?

I will be selling my Nikon D70 kit this week. A friend of a friend is interested in buying it. If she doesn't, then it will be for sale for about $850 with a few extras.

Does anyone know where to get a remote for my Canon EOS 20D??? I can't find one?!?!?!?!

Do you want a wireless remote? Or a cable release?

RS-80N3 (cable release)

You can get an off-brand cable release on ebay for about $10. Wireless you're stuck though...super expensive.

adidt makes a wireless setup for the 20D. The 20D has a different wireless receiver than the Rebel series of cameras (nobody knows why except the basic rip-off factor), so you will have to use a PC-sync receiver and wireless transmitter.

If you are in Toronto check out Henrys then click on the used tab. Not a really great selection, but sometime you can find a gem.

Wow, that's insane for the 20d...I guess I will just have to wait until they lower the costs...if anyone finds anything cheaper would you let me know???

I just received my 20D battery Grip (no AA battery holder...I wanted it that way) in Ex+ condition from //www.keh.com for $119.00. Works a treat.

My bud at work trades lens/bodies with them often, I seen nothing but fair trades and great equipment (go Ex+ or Better on the ratings when buying)

Not sure if it can be repaired at a reasonable price tho. Anyway, I've also heard that some people get away with DOUBLE the cycle number - lucky chaps.
