Man, I was looking at Painting with Light I and other than banmorn, I didn't recognize a soul until I got to 44th place. Have that many people become inactive? I mean, I know tons of us joined in 2005 and there are lots of new members, but is this kind of like a revolving door site, and after a few years... on you go to other places?
Hmmmm just thinking out loud. |

| I guess people will always come and go Judy. Everyone has to move on at some stage! It's amazing how many people are inactive now, but just a part of life. |

I know last year we had a few "masters" challenges with the argument at the time being it was to try and prevent long serving members from moving on and as a some type of reward.
But it didn’t go over real well although when you look at the images from those contest you can understand why some of the more experienced photographers move on weather out of boredom or to expand their knowledge or whatever if you stay anywhere too long you will stagnate.
I can fully understand how frustrating it can be to have your images not appreciated because you perhaps have grown out of the must be bright,colorful,sharp as a tack, neat imaged, eye candy, wow factor that the majority like here.
Anyway I like the way new exciting members join and add different character to the site, as for me I usually take a couple of months off when it gets too frustrating and by the looks of my duotone I may need a break again.

| Um... 8 of the top 10 in that challenge have entered photos in the past two months. Just because they're quiet doesn't mean they're gone. |

not everyone comes here to shoot the breeze and post on the forums...a lot of people probably don't pay any attention to the boards, just submit photographs and/or vote/comment.
