What do you do to alleviate stress, relax, and just wind down?
I have a photo assignment for my school newspaper, The Louisville Cardinal, to take a photo relating to an article about whether to relax or catch up over spring break. So I want to juxtapose the two in a single photograph, and I was hoping some of you could help me brainstorm ideas of "relaxing activities."
Thanks!

Hiya JP .. I'm here in Louisville too! To relax, or destress, I either grab my camera and head out into the back yard and just take pics for fun, grab a good book and read for awhile or simply fire up my iPod, plug in the earphones and just listen to music until I fall asleep. Hope it helps!

1. kick small pets and or punch holes in the wall; or do home demolition
2. sing and play my tele through my 120 watt vox combo, at very loud volumes with my rock band
3. play the drums very loudly along with assorted rock music, usually the replacements and pavement.
These are more relaxing than actually not doing anything to me. There is a relaxing catharsis gained.

If you wanted an image of "relaxing" and "catching up" together, you could take a picture of someone "relaxing" by a pool or something while worknig on a laptop.

I ride to de-stress and relax. I get really cranky (pun kind of intended) if I don't get to ride when I need to.

If the weather's good, I ride my Ducati. If the weather's bad, I swim. Regardless I try to swim 3,000 meters a week.

As an animal lover who is actively involved in rescue, I hope that you were not serious when you stated you kick small animals as a way to relax. Only a sick person would do such a thing! Even if you are joking, this is very inappropriate to state as people who read this may not realize it, and the younger readers may feel that your actions are normal and follow your example. I rarley rant here - but this really upsets me.

I sit down and fire up the DPC website. I usually spend my time browsing the Hardware forums, then off for a quick dip into www.dpreview.com.
Does that make me strange? |
