The biggest change is access. It's so much easier and cheaper to get a good digital camera and PSE for your computer than it is to buy an enlarger, chemicals, a room, film, etc.
On the downside, so many people have no clue what a darkroom is like. |

Ah, the memories. No more coming out of the darkroom for fresh air (before I installed an airconditoner. No more working into the wee hours of the morning until you were exhausted, and still having to wash all the trays! No more test strips!! (although they did sometimes make good bookmarks!)

Yeah - My film and digital cameras are a similar speed in burst mode and yet I remember only a couple of times using it on film (car races only) and now the digital is on that mode ALL the time. This is certainly one of the bad habbits that digital has brought to me but I keep it on cause I get useful shots sometimes and hey it's only bits been burnt :-) |
