This is my first challenge entry.... scary - my score almost gets to 5.4 and then boom..... but I am very pleased as it took a lot for me to enter and I think I am doing well for my first time..... still, comments mean so much and I wish there were more of them (greedy I know) and this challenge has taught me to leave more.... just grateful to have finally gotten up the nerve.. mac

I must be getting a bunch of 6 scores because it is inching so, so, so very close to 6.
But with only 154 votes there sure are a lot of voters left to rate. I personally finished voting an all of the pictures and now I'm starting to go back through to add comments. Don't have that many commented on yet but feeling a bit guilty given the comments I've received so far. |

Im a newbie on the site.. just stumbled on it while browsing and so far i love it. i was expecitng more comments on my first entry though. i`m just getting started in photography so any hint or comment is well appreciated... hopefully they will come |

Welcome to all the first time entrants ;) Don't be frustrated by the lack of comments. I think it's just due to the amount of entries and the fact that we only have a week to vote. My suggestion is that after the challenge, post a thread asking for constructive criticism about your entry. I'm sure there will be a lot of willing helpers.

With people so polarized about what IS a duotone... I'm thinking it might be. If you start off saying... I'm capping my vote at X for any "monochrome" then the averages will drop. Shame, too, for those more interested in beating their prior scores then beating other people.

This is my ~real~ duotone score. :)
My duotone and 80's scores have been battling one another for the last couple of days, but seem to be both staying around 5.2+. Seems like just yesterday I was in the 4's consistenly. Either I'm getting better or the voters are being a bit more generous. Don't really know what's happening, but I like the trend!

I am getting a bunch of comments, all good. Also, my score has rebounded from 6.15, which makes me smile:) The major weakness in my photo, no one has mentioned. And the one secret, no one has noticed:), or at least not commented on it.
