Less than a year old (although I'll have to check exactly how much less). Awesome condition, has the hood and bag and even the box. I'm upgrading to the 24-105L.

I thought I'd offer it here first before looking at ebay. B&H has it new for $669. I only saw one used lens recently complete on ebay for $616. We can talk price and shipping if you are interested.

Send me a PM if you are interested. All 3 of my ribbons were taken with this lens, so it comes with extra-good mojo included free. ;)

Great lens. It's quickly becoming my favorite.

OK, I looked, first pictures in August 2005, so that makes this baby 6 months old...

Rikki, I'm hoping to make the jump. Gotta sell this one first. :)

Thats a great lens you're selling, I love mine. I'm sure someone will jump on that deal. I haven't yet tried your replacement lens (24-105); hope you'll post your intial impressions here. I have it in the back of my mind to latch onto one before summer vacation in Outer Banks, NC. Best of luck!

I just ordered my 24-105L yesterday, and the fedex man is supposed to bring it by here tomorrow... I can't wait. :-)

Wish I had the money for the 17-40L, as I would eventually like something wider than 24, but that's way down the $$$ road right now. Next stop is a canon i9900 printer I think!

Good luck getting your lens!

Don't get that wimpy 24-105.
Get that new one, the $1100 ef-s lens!

Seriously, check out the Tamron SP24-135.

Don't get all hung up on marketing, L is not everything, unless you are XL then L is better LOL

I'm a bit confused about which lens you are talking about "the $1100 ef-s lens"? I think I'm pretty set on L-glass for a lens with such a wide zoom. I'm a complete freak about sharpness and I'm already worried that even L-glass can't match my expectations when the zoom range is so wide. On the other hand, it will be an excellent walkaround lens and then I won't have to lug others around.

I think he's talking about the EF-S 17-55 2.8 which is reputed to be L quality but Canon won't market EF-S as L lenses.

Things have been friggin CRAZY for me. Just got back from Italy on Tuesday. Work has been flying me all over the country and to top things off.... I have a little girl due in August. So yeah, lots going on unfortunately and not much time to take pics!

wish you had stuck this up a month ago :) I did my buying then.

You can check over at fredmiranda.com too. I think they usually go for cheaper....ebay might be better for money wise.

Well, if you want to do UPS it looks like it would be expensive, about $80 give or take.

Through the US Post and Airmail Parcel Post it looks like about $30 depending on exactly how much the box weighs. That includes insurance and delivery is listed as 4-10 days.
