I'll probably get that one, more money to go towards a fisheye :)

Hmmm, I've a Sigma 15mm fisheye, and I don't like it on my XT. On the N, the fish gives great distortion effects that makes for dramatic shots.
On a XT, it just give distortions. Not as good. I'd recommend an ultrawide instead.

As for the Optek grip, I think Canon's profit margin is so big that they don't care. I think they rely on blind loyalty and fear of the "after market" equipment too much. But that's just my view.

I was going to get the manual focus Peleng 8mm from Kiev Camera to start out, and if I like it buy a real one.

It's mainly for effect... although I agree a 10-22 would be very nice to have

Hmmm, a 8mm fish would really distort and cause vingetting even in a cropped sensor. This would really be for special effect purposes, unless you digitally defish.
Have you seen a review of it on photozone.de? It's a good review.

About the review, do you mean of the 10-22? I have read reviews on that one, sounds nice. Pretty expensive though.

There's a few people on here that have that 8mm and I like their work with it, hopefully I can come close.

Nope,
the peleng is reviewed also.
If I got an ultrawide, I'd get the Sigma 10-20, cheapest and the sharpest according to photozone.de
