are the settings such as purposely vignetting RAW images in photoshop cs2 when you open RAW allowed under basic editing or is this a no-no since it doesn't effect "all the pixels"? |

RAW conversion settings can be made "to preserve photographic integrity." If you use the vignetting correction to apply an effect, that's an effects filter, not a "correction", so no, it's not legal.
