I'm trying to enter the fashion challenge, but for some reason, the ISO data seems to have disappeared out of thin air. On my camera I can see the ISO's of other pictures, but not this one, and I downloaded one of the programs that it says to in the FAQ to get his information about your picture, but the ISO isn't there either. All the others are at 50, and my camera runs from 50-400, so should I just put in 50? Can I get DQ'd for false information if I think it's right? |

You don't even have to supply the EXIF info when submitting for challenges though it is encouraged. I would leave it out if you don't have the info. You can't be DQ'd for misrepresenting the info but you can be for modifying the info (not on the submission page but the EXIF of the original out of camera photo).
What software do you use to upload your images from the camera to the computer? If the ISO is present for all other pics I would suspect the software for modifying it.

You aren't going to get DQ'd for putting 50 if it was 100, and you wouldn't get DQ'd if you put 50 and it was 1600...
I'd just put 50 if you don't know or put "N/A"

But, you will get dq'd if you saved your edit over the original!

Only if you are asked to submit an original...and now that this is out, you very well may be asked hehe.

I don't really know what it uses, zoom browser or something, I just plug the cord into my camera and the computer, press the blue button and bam, pictures there.
So it's not necessary to include the ISO, I can just leave that blank on the submission form? |

You can leave it blank. The missing ISO value could be related to the mode you were shooting in. Also, I believe zoombrowser will load both the non-rotated and rotated image. The non-rotated is the original. It could be a rotated image that's missing the ISO. Just guessing though. |

Thanks everyone for helping me! I submitted it without the data. If they say anything I'll just send them the original and they can figure out what the ISO is. |

FWIW, we really don't care whether the ISO info is there or not. It's optional information. We look at the EXIF and other information to determine if the file is an original. I do know that in some cases Canon cameras do not record the EXIF if it is set to "Auto" so that may be the issue.

Did you by chance use the free version of Neat Image, it and other programs will delete a great deal of the data. The purchased versions do not remove of change the data. |

Did you check the original? Sometimes in editing the EXIF gets deleted |
