Make it the zetland as the meeting place for 11am I guess if we wait until about 11:30 that should give every one who wants to come a chance to get there.

From there we have :
The Natural History Museum entrance FREE
The Science Museum entrance FREE
The Victoria and Albert Museum entrance FREE
If the weather is nice there are the Kensington Gardens

Hope this gives some idea of what is immediatley available from the Zetland Arms.

We can make final arrangements on foot as we 2moro if that is OK

(If there are any late stragglers I will leave a card (not my credit card sorry) at the bar and you can ring me and I will let you know where we are.)

NICE pics Manic!

We were in London yesterday but just to buy a film scanner and another lowepro (the Computrekker AW) and not really up for the GTG - too many chores to do at home this weekend but...

Hope to make the next one!

Dash it. Beaten to the punch. I was fighting with Flickr, trying to get my pics uploaded and only succeeded today. They might be here

Nice pics but you got a bug in there somewhere (I guess it's a coppermine gallery, so dunno). I hit the top rated and when you hit the thumb it shows a seemingly random full size pic - not the same one as the thumb; Don't get me wrong, it's a nice touch just a little unusual :-)

You gotta be quicker than that ;o) Cool pics btw, apart from the one of me outdoors that is! The mirror mini globe shot came out amazingly well, impressive.

Hmm... doesn't do that for me. Does it still do it now, or just the once?

Some lovely shots there, Manic. I particularly love the contrast you've packed into the B&W and duotone images. Some great texture and abstracts, too. Oh, and the candids are superb. I wish I had as good an eye for them. The only part about your presentation I don't like is coming to the end of it and knowing that there are no more to be seen :)

The trick is too shoot at anything and everything, and only worry about whether theyre any good once you get home! I think I took about 300 shots that day, and ended up with only those 70ish, but I'm happy with that hit:miss ratio coz I get a lot of hits from sheer weight of numbers ;o)

At last ;oP Good stuff in there, really like the 'Reaching to the Sky' shot of the NHM, and the 'Hippo' looks almost alive! You might want to fix the link on 'Dome View' though, as pbase doesn't use DPC forum tags ;o)

Keep your ear to the ground cus we might be able to sort out a yorkshire GTG for later on in the year depending on a very nice couple from up there.

Welcome and good to have you with us.

GTGs tend to happen down in London about once every 3-4 months, depending on when anyone gets round to organising one :o) So yeah, keep an eye open for the next GTG thread... oh, and there's bound to be another Yorkshire GTG at some point to.

i'd be fairly happy to venture out of Yorkshire too. I'm not really a Yorkshire person... I'm a Nottingham lass at heart so, be glad to get somewhere dirty and polluted for a change hehe

I will keep my eyes and ears open for gatherings and such!

thanks for the welcome.

Good to see them, Ben. I was beginning to get worried about you having got lost in the rail network somewhere.

I think you got the best motion blur picture of us all. Movement 1 is great. The guy in red standing stock-still nest to the sign in the centre really makes the shot. As for 'Beautiful Ceiling'... well. Get that ugly $^&*£@% out of the shot, that's what I say. He's ruined it, being there!

I used to organises London GTGs here on DPC - I organised the first 4 or 5 anyways... I'm still up for attending any but not so keen on organising anymore (having been lambasted for not organising them to one of the attendees personal satisfaction - who needs hassle when volunteering to take something onboard in one's free time?).

Any thoughts on London GTG 8?

I do organise GTGs for another photography forum - Tips From The Top Floor - we're always happy to welcome new friends...

Chris, is there any cross over between fotolog folks and DPC folks?

You do realise, I trust, that the TFTTF GTG will not be to my personal satisfaction if you fail to organise another whale for us.
