Simon & Garfunkel: Scarborough Fair

Here's one for ya:

He's half man and half cartoon
but good buddy don't be confused
he's full blooded looney tune
he's the skinny sweaty man in the green suit

Try this one!

Different eyes see different things
Different heart feed on different strings
But there are times for you and me
When all such things agree

Rush "Different Strings"

Ummm...

On the side of a hill a sprinkling of leaves.
Washes the grave with silvery tears.
A soldier cleans and polishes a gun.
Sleeps unaware of the clarion call.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Here's another one (will be easy for many of you I think):

In lieu of my correct response above with no subsequent lyrics, I thought real hard about this. These come from a very popular band with a dedicated following over the years.

Ok...real lyrics as found on at least 6 different sites to make sure...

La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la

The best thing is it doesn't produce a google result to match...have fun...any takers?

Let's Dance, by (as they were introduced at a concert my friend went to) The F***ing Ramones

And now for a total change of pace:

I've got this fear of falling that I'm trying to overcome
That's why I'm here at the edge of the top of this dirty slum
You and I both know I'd never jump -- who am I trying to kid?
But just imagine the sensation if I ever did.

"The Tra La La Song (One Banana, Two Banana)" (from Banana Splits)
I have the Liz Phair with Material Issue version from the Saturday Morning Cartoons CD

ETA: D'oh! It's "tra la la, la la la la", so I'm wrong, too. Damn.

and there's already another song to do, so I won't add another here

That's 7 la's per line?

Once you get an answer, my song is next, to get us back on cycle.

Thanks for the hint... a little digging on Music Match turned up So Sad About Us by The Who.

Current lyrics:

I've got this fear of falling that I'm trying to overcome
That's why I'm here at the edge of the top of this dirty slum
You and I both know I'd never jump -- who am I trying to kid?
But just imagine the sensation if I ever did.

Just a castaway, an island lost at sea, oh
Another lonely day, with no one here but me, oh
More loneliness than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair, oh
