Get a ribbon! But not always braun.

Establishing a recognizable and still broad style that people can relate to is what I'm leaning towards now. That's probably the most important and pertinent thing I would like to accomplish.

Less important would be to hit a 6 plus average. A ribbon or two would be nice but producing a steady stream of images that are somewhat original and aren't DPC centric is my main goal.

1) Get a Top 10 ---- DONE
2) Get a Top 5
3) Get a Ribbon
4) Get a Score over 7 ---- DONE
5) Raise my average Score over 5.5
6) Raise my average voting score over 5.5

I dunno, I think stating it would be jinxing myself but I think a reasonable goal this year would be to get one more ribbon than I got last year so I am aiming for four of them. Anybody think I can do it?

In general, so not only for DPC:

More personality/emotion in the photos. I'm looking for more human elements like people and portraits, portrayed in a natural enviroment with an impact in some way. That's not really a 2006 goal but a 2006-2010 goal.

I know you asked for DPC goals... I don't have any I'm afraid!
But I do like sharing my photos here.
I do like the DPC community, but I feel I've achieved what I've needed from the DPC challenges. It's always nice to have that update button though...
However, if there were regular open challenges... (I forgot to enter the last one... doh!)

1. my goal since the beginning is to make it to the fav photographer list.
2. to have a photo receive more that 100 favs. getting close with my "Into the Mystic" pic. :)
3. to develop a recognizable style
4. to be more famous than kiwiness :-P

This year I will work on improving myself, my perceptions, actions, thoughts, etc. By doing this all of life can only improve.

When I really think about it, all the ribbons and high scores really don't mean that much. The whole goal this year and every years is to learn more about photography and become a better photographer. In doing this everything else will come as a by-product.

This might be a bit different than the other goals but,

1.) To become a more happy shooter. Not a balls to the wall gotta get the shot kind of guy, but instead to get it when its there, and leave it alone when its not.

2.) To be able to discern what is meant to be observed with mind/spirit, and what is meant to be shot for expression.

3.) To take more people shots, and figure out how in the hell to make them comfortable with me.

4.) To be able to relax, relate, and react when shooting.

I dunno what else to say really...the ribbons aren't my priority...though I suppose it would be real cool to get one. Owe yeah, and

5.) To get technically better, to be able to take 5 shots instead of 75, and know that technically the photo will be fine.

other than that, rating wise, ribbon wise, favorite photo wise...that stuff is probably best fit for somebody else. Kuddos to the ribbon winners though, ya'll shine light into my world everyday. Keep em' coming, and good luck to everybody's goals in 2006, sounds like its gonna be a fun year.
