...FedEx delivers your new camera and the weather is too rotten to go out and give it a proper test run? You make sure the first picture you take is a really bad shot of yourself in the bathroom mirror. Ahhh, creativity at its finest. :D

...you wrap the camera back into the box, call Fedex and ask them to send the package to this poor bloke instead.

Hehehehehe! That happened to me too!!! I ran around the apartment and took photos of my cat toys :-) And then waited with the patience of a three year old for better weather!

My first photo when my camera was brand new was of my shoe. I was sitting down trying to figure out why I had an error message and couldn't figure out how to take a photo with the thing, so when it appeared it may work I just pointed down my leg at my shoe and tried it :) After that I took a photo of fruit and of our cat and then I finally worked my way outside.

Congratulations on the new camera!

Thats why everybody needs a cheap home studio! It provides hours of fun shooting all of the inanimate objects you have lying around everywhere!

Good shot. And I guess the pro's would tell us that good pictures can be taken anytime, anywhere, in any weather :-)

You wrap that sucker in a trash bag with rubber bands around the lens and go out anyway. I shot this in the midst of a severe thunderstorm. Lots of lightning around and one stupid guy standing in the middle of an open field chimping the LCD. ;-)
