After the little "bumping heads" in the Free Study thread, my first thought was wondering if anyone's would be good enough. Realized that life is too short to be spiteful, and today is another day. Not in this for a membership either.
So, I'm having a go at it too. So far:
Lemme know if you want me to keep going. |
Impressive. |

that's awsome job youve done, please continue with the image, with a job that good I could make a BIG print for mom, might even have it printed on canvas and framed.
and you can chose who gets the membership if you win ;) |
I'll keep going, but I'm outside of the membership reward thing. Don't want anyone else pulling the plug and not trying. Photo restoration is a hobby of mine.
When I'm done, I'll send you the bill - my shop labor rate here is $85/hr. US
(just kidding obviously)

--------- Original -------------- Phase 1 ------------- Phase 2 -----------
Open each and switch in the taskbar to see progression.
Taking a little longer than expected...

That is really awesome! The only thing I noticed was that the shading around the eyelid and the top lip seems a little artificial, a little heavy. But, that's just my opinion! Greak work!!! |

(went a tad too far on the eyes and need to work on the shading & skin textures - still a lot more to go!
This is one time I bet a tablet would be a lot better than a trackball) |

Was gonna say Hi (insert name) and noticed you are now N/A.
;)
Basically this is just a lot of cloning, various opacities and such, along with selecting and area, adding noise/grain, then erasing it back out in various percentages.
If I had a nickel for every mouse (trackball) click done in this project, I think I could have ordered a 1Ds MarkII by now.

great work, I agree on the eyes, they look like they were drawn, but still a much better work than I'm capable of :)

looks much better, but I think the lower eyeline on the left eye (right side of the image) needs some details, the hairs and details of phase 2 are gone.. a bit of historybrush maby ;)
I pulled out her left temple because the line there looked too straight, like a ruler, and I painted a very thin line under her eye to bring it out.. what do you think ?
this was done in less than 2 minutes with the smudge tool, so it's not a good work, only to demonstrate what I saw wrong..
but this is your project so I know you know what you are doing :)

Forgot I had this still in the works - sorry Dan.
Certainly was a learning process and thank you for asking for help - yes, I am thanking YOU, as it is the best PS training one can get - seat of the pants. (isn't helping my scores musch though...)
The psd file is a little over 67MB, 4838x5488@600DPI the jpeg is 9.25MB, 4838x5488@300DPI
The psd may be a little bit of a problem getting through the mail, unless you have an ftp drop box or similar.
