My puppy, which I used in the January Free Study had to be put down today. She would have been 1 year old tomorrow. As you can see in the picture she had a cast for what was at the time her 3rd broken bone. She had been through surgery twice to have bones pinned and broke the bone (for which she has the cast on) the day the pins came out from her second surgery. My wife and I had decided that if it happened again we'd have to put her down. First off dog surgery isn't cheap (cost a little over 2 grand each time) plus it's not fair to keep her alive if she breaks something everytime she moves around. So when she started limping again this weekend I feared the worst, which was confirmed today. So I'd like to say Good bye to Ruza (pronounced Rusha which is croation for Rose) we enjoyed the time we had with her. She was a chiahaua daschund .

So sad. Saying goodbye to a pet is so much like losing a family member. You acted with great compassion.

A chihuaha dachsund? We'll never see her likes again. I'm sorry for your loss but you did the compassionate thing. Karma's checking all her limbs as we speak, she is taking this very somberly. She says "Run like the winde in heaven, little Rose!"

im so sorry, its like loosing a family member. Its such a terrible choice to have to make.

| Sorry to hear of your loss. It was perhaps the kindest decision for the poor girl. I very much understand how hard it is ...... 2 weeks ago I sent my bestest cat in the world to the Big Nap in the Sun because of a heart disease. I'll cry with you.... |

So sorry to read this. At least she enjoyed a truly warm and loving home with you for all of her short life.
