Dh's photography friend told me about a few shows in the area and I just happened to stumble upon this one while googling last night. I'm going to enter something but I can't decide. I've narrowed it down to 2 right now- I have till April. I'll probably find some other shots between now and then.
anyhow, this is the contest.

and here are two I have aside for it right now- I can only enter one I know, but have narrowed it down to these two in case I don't find anything else in the meantime.

I know the first one is blurry, I need to go back and readjust. Did some smoothing and just realized it's too smooth. |

I like your second image the best. Perhaps, if the rules allow, you could clone out the bush in the upper right corner.
Good luck in your contest. |

Ideally what you would want to do is to review the previous 4 years winners to get an idea what the contest sponsors look for in pictures and select you best image that fits with what they like. Unfortunately, though they have a "challenge theme" and are an environmental group, few real guidelines are provided. Perhaps an image that displays the act of preservation of an appealing scene and/or species???
Good luck!

Well i don't see where I can review previous winners. But I did look at this years entries so far. The place where I took the photos of the deer is historic ground so they can't be hunted. So I was thinking of that as preservation. There's also a HUGE park that's part wildlife refuge with a lot of different birds so I was thinking of heading over there early morning to get some shots.
There's a lot around here. Old buildings that have been saved, homes from the civil war, ect. Many routes I could go with this. Just a matter of having enough time to make it out alone - kind of hard to get anything serious accomplished with a 5yo spitfire taggin along lol.
