I started at 7-8pm last night, worked until 4am and then started again at 10am. I just finished up about an hour ago! And I am so proud!
I used Dreamweaver and Flash to do it.... and I have never used either of these before. So, yeah... for doing it blindly, I didn't do too bad.
If you guys could take a look at it and let me know what you think..... that would be wonderful!

Thanks - as always!

Great effort starting out with those two bits of software - there is a lot to learn :-). Now some thoughts....
- The "Wedding Pictures" label should change to "Weddings" to match the phrasing of the other sections.
- I find the flash intro a little long and would think of merging some of the sentences. I liked the phrasing on those - nice touch.
- I also found the flat layout of the photos out of place with the flash intro. Personally, I like simple layouts but IMO you need to get the intro & substance closer in style. There are a lot of flash based templates around if you google them, so maybe an option.
- I see the welcome screen but there does not seem to be a way back once you look in a photo section. It's usually better to have a way back to where they start (maybe a link through the heading on each page). |

Pretty good job Lorrie.
I like the beginning. Photos scroll through quicker than others, but not so quick that you can't look at them.
But, after they all scroll throgh, it loops and starts over making you click the 'skip intro'. You should have it go to the main page after the last photo.
You have plenty of room on the main page. how about enlarging the thumbnails and placing the topic under the photo?
I'd like to see something other than a white background. That's just MY personal preference.
All in all, well thought out. Simple but informative and easy to navigate. Take a peek again, I wouldn't think those are hard fixes should you decide to do them. Good luck with the site and business.

I love the flash intro, but agree that once it is finished the first loop, it should head to the main page.
As a Disc Jockey, I am concerned with the use of the music in the background. It is a copywrited piece that the RIAA and artist both could identify as unlicensed usage, especially since it is being used in a commercial website. With all the hubbub about napster style infringement and the recent talk here in our own forums, this type of use is especially risky for your business.

I know.... I have been dealing with this off and on all day. I don't know why sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I have to find someone to help me out with that.
Thank you for all of your input - everyone! |

One more thing... you have a typo on the page that loads after the flash show "beautiful memories of you wedding day". |

On the front page it says "beautiful memories of you wedding day". I think you mean "your wedding day"

It did work for me but it also went back to the first photo for a couple of seconds before flipping to the welcome page (I am on FireFox 1.5.0.1). |
