Do you feel like when you go out and take photos that you need to warm up before you can really get going into good stuff? I know I do. Generally when I go out on shoots, or walks, etc., it will be a while still I start getting into my groove and getting decent shots. Very few times will I have my best shot at the beginning of a trek. Does anyone else experience this sort of thing or am I just crazy?

Eh, something to talk/ponder aboot.

I haven't hit my groove yet. I've been warming up for about 5 years...

yep. This is totally me. I almost always keep the last shot of a shoot. I think one of the advantages of digital is that you can see what you are shooting, critique on site, and keep trying to recompose, or change your point of view until you get THE SHOT. Every once in a while I get lucky at the beginning of a shoot, but usually it takes a lot of warming up for me.

definitaly. I went out for two hours shooting for Country Life II, and the image I submitted was the one I look right before I headed home.

One of those things about photography... it's kind of interesting I think.
