ok i might sound a bit dumb asking for this along other people who are asking for more serious things like statistical data on the voting and changing the voting system :) but i come from a forum (www.astronomydaily.com) that is very friendly, it is friendly because people can say hard to say things like, your picture is rubbish and stuff but diffuse any negatives by use of the smileys making a bit of a joke about it but still getting the point over, just thought they would help lighten the mood sometimes??

I don't think it's dumb at all, precisely because it can sometimes help diffuse things.

On a different subject though... glad to see another astronomy buff here. :)

Hi Richard :)

Yes, if you go to my profile, you will see a link to my PBase account. For the time being my images are up there, until my personal site is finished.

As far as DSLR Focus goes, I can't answer because I use ImagesPlus.. but will PM with link for tips/hints on DSLR Focus that might help you. I know a lot of people that use both programs... so I know it's a good program. :) Also will send you link to another group that I belong to that may give you more help, if you ask. - Christine

a similar idea to help mainly with forum participation is listing at the side the number of posts and how long that person has been with the site, this will encourage people to post as well as allow some balance to the comments made.
