I just uploaded some of my pictures from last night's game here in San Francisco. I'd love to hear what people think and I'll do my best to return comments over the next few days. The game was a fantastic match with a lot of world class goals. The US won 3-2. Here are a few samples and I have more in a folder in my portfolio. All the shots were taken with my D70, using a 70-300mm lens, ISO 400. I definitely wish I had a faster lens after shooting the game. Enjoy.

Nice Rasta we were watching this on Telemundo (a spanish speaking channel) I couldn't understand anything but Goalllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!

sorry for 1 last bump, but I was hoping for a few critiques/suggestions/thoughts.

Nice pictures, I think a faster lens would make all the difference here, as it would put the crowd out of focus thereby making the players stand out more. Pictures 1,2,4 and 6 have this problem.

I like the concentration in 1 and the story told in 6, especially with the other photographer pointing in the players direction. 4 is a great action shot, obviously better shot from the other side (not much you can do about that!)

It's amazing what a difference the lighting and DOF can make to a set of pictures.
